We live in a fast paced consumer driven world, we’re constantly bombarded with ads for products, material things we rarely need, often useless, but are told we must have, often increasingly driven by AI, a tool severely lacking in authenticity and human connection, artificial and false.

While we all like to have nice things, and there’s nothing wrong with that, that’s all they are, just things, material, and material things generally come and go for the most part, the one thing we do have that lasts a lifetime and beyond are our memories, our experiences, our feelings and emotions, genuine, authentic, real!

You can’t replace a memory, they are the most valuable authentic things we’ll ever have in our possession, moments that cannot be relived, but we can capture them.

As a Photographer, I love that I can capture these moments, it’s a privilege to be able to do so, and probably my favourite thing about Photography, capturing that one moment in time, those special moments, the feelings, emotions, the story, captured and preserved in an image that will last beyond a lifetime.

In the words of Ferris Bueller, “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Don’t miss it, capture it!
